179 Village Rd
Listie, PA 15549
Our church began as a group of German Baptist Brethren folks that met in a barn on a hillside a few miles north of Somerset, PA in the 1850s. By 1888, the town of Listie was growing as a mining town so the church decided to build in the valley where all of the houses were making it easier to worship. Our current building was built in 1892 for the price of $300! Many of our fixtures are the same such as oil lamps on the windows and stained glass windows. The previous property is now our church cemetery on the hillside above Listie.
We are a group of people that strive to know God's Word and make it known.
We are grateful to the Lord for allowing nearly 125 years of consecutive services in our church. May we remain faithful to Him until He returns!!
